Mingshu Yan

DPhil Student

Mingshu joined the Clinical Trial Service Unit and Epidemiological Studies Unit (CTSU) in January 2019. His DPhil research focuses on the associations of lifestyle and cardiometabolic factors with the risk of cataract using the China Kadoorie Biobank (CKB) data.

Mingshu holds a Bachelor of Health Science from the University of Adelaide, a Master of Public Health from the University of Melbourne and a MSc Epidemiology from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM).

Prior to his DPhil, Mingshu worked for  the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention (China CDC) and National Health and Family Planning Commission (NHFPC) on public health programme management and international health cooperation.
